Is this a kit?
The PlasmaCAM system is not a kit and does not require you to build, weld, grind-to-fit, paint, or even assemble drive components. You do not have to fabricate any supporting structure (like a grate to support material being cut) to have a functioning machine. We provide a total system that has been assembled, tested and crated for shipment. Every aspect of the design has been carefully engineered, tested and refined over the course of several years. Precision manufacturing and quality control ensures that parts fit. You simply provide a basic PC and appropriate hand-held plasma torch.

Are there any hidden costs?
The entire system including design software and cutting table, with electrical and mechanical components pre-assembled and tested is just one flat price. No other complete system with similar capabilities is even close to this price. We can even arrange a lease purchase with a very low monthly payment. Call today for details.

What other products do you offer?
An important distinction between PlasmaCAM and other companies is that we offer no other products. We specialize in this one CNC plasma cutting system, because we believe that a company can be really good at only one product. This guiding philosophy and focus has made the PlasmaCAM system by far the best on the market.

What kinds of materials does the machine cut?  What is plasma cutting?
Most metals can be plasma cut. Plastics and wood are not electrically conductive and cannot be plasma cut. Although you could mount another tool in the cutting table (such as a router, engraver, laser, etc.) the PlasmaCAM system is really specialized for plasma cutting only.

Will my plasma torch work with the PlasmaCAM machine?
Although you can mount any hand-held plasma torch in the PlasmaCAM table, not all plasma torches are compatible with computerized machinery. Save time and money in the long run by getting the right plasma torch.

What is the accuracy of the cutter?
The accuracy of the machine is better than that of the plasma torch. When the machine is coupled with the plasma torch, part accuracies as high as ±0.005 inch can be achieved, depending on material and setup conditions.
